Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters II Arcade

The wrestlers of the Capcom Wrestling Association gather once again, but this time the Blood Wrestling Association has joined in to wrestle with the CWA for the championship.
Victor Ortega, the previous Muscle Bomber champion, as well as owner of the CWA, had left because he couldn’t find anyone strong enough to give him a decent challenge. Now he’s back, and is the guy to beat to earn the championship.
Mike Haggar, known across the globe as the funny pipe man and the Mayor of Metro City, started his journey to Mayorship as a pro wrestler in the CWA, inspiring up and coming wrestlers like Biff Slamkovich and Gunloc during his time, before eventually retiring and running for election in Metro City; history speaks for itself from there.

Unlike the first game, which played like a traditional wrestling game, Ring of Destruction’s format was changed to play like a traditional one-on-one 2D fighting game (similar to Super Street Fighter II), with the action restricted to one plane.
The game’s configuration was changed to a five-button setup (two punch buttons, two kick buttons and a grappling button).
The objective of each match is to deplete the opponent’s life bar in two out of three rounds. It is no longer necessary for the player to pin their opponent to win a match, although all the other moves have been retained.

All ten characters from the original Slam Masters returned, along with four new selectable characters:

Victor Ortega – A legendary champion wrestler who vanished from the ring for years and has come out of retirement. Ortega was the wrestler who appeared in the intros of both the first and second games. His special move is the backdrop.

The Wraith – A supernatural-themed wrestler from New Delhi, India. His special move is the guillotine drop.

Rip Saber – A military-themed wrestler from Calgary, Canada who attacks with dangerous weapons.

Black Widow – A fully costumed wrestler from Hanover, Germany with a spider-motif. Widow’s ending reveals that she’s actually a female wrestler in disguise. Her special move is the Frankensteiner. Widow is mentioned in Hugo’s end sequence in Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact.
